Here, it’s time to know about its health benefits: The leaves have 7 times more vitamin C than oranges and 15 times more potassium than bananas. It also has calcium, protein, iron, and amino acids, which help your body heal and build muscle. It's also packed with antioxidants, substances that can protect cells from damage and may boost your immune system.


Moringa leaves Poriyal:


Ingredients

  • 1 tsp unsalted butter or ghee

  • 1 cup Moringa leaves washed and drained

  • 1 cup chopped onion

  • 2 tbsp grated coconut

  • 1 teaspoon chilly flakes

  • 1 tsp Jeera

  • 1 tsp mustard seeds and split urad dal

  • Salt to taste

Directions

  1. Preheat Kadai, add butter or ghee

  2. Season with mustard seeds, urad dal, jeera. Allow it to splutter.

  3. Add Chopped onion and saute it until golden brown, add washed moringa leaves and saute it and sprinkle some water to cook properly for 10-15 mins.

  4. Add salt to taste. Once it is cooked add Grated coconut and chilly flakes and mix it and keep it open till all water is vapourised.

  5. Enjoy with hot rice with added ghee for best taste and nutrition.
